2019 Quilt Show

Thank you:

A big thank you to everyone who helped to make the 2019 quilt show a huge success.  This includes:

  • All the over 700 visitors who took the time to check out the quilt show.
  • The organizers and committee heads who did an amazing job.
  • Local businesses and individuals who donated prizes.
  • Quilters who spent hours toiling to make the beautiful items on display.
  • Those who helped with setting up and taking down the show.
  • Everyone who helped in any way.

Just a few photos from this year’s show:

Barnswallow Quilt Guild members invite you to their annual quilt show taking place on May 3 – 5, 2019 at the Access Event Centre in Morden (2nd and Gilmour Streets). Come join us for a lovely day in Morden!

Show hours are Friday 10:00am – 8:00pm, Saturday 10:00am – 5:00pm and Sunday noon – 5:00pm. Admission is $5.00.

How can we match last year’s very successful bed turning? By focussing on smaller, with an “easel flip” of course! Throughout the weekend, members will “flip” a sampling of their small quilts, providing a brief explanation of techniques and fabrics. These presentations are scheduled for 11:00am and 2:00pm on Friday and Saturday and 2:00pm on Sunday.  See the list of participants below.

Our featured quilters are sisters Kathryn Laverty Luger and Lenore Laverty who will exhibit their colourful, modern quilts.

Visit our guild boutique, selling a variety of notions, books and finished goods. As usual, there will be a rainbow auction with proceeds going to Boundary Trails Health Centre (women’s health programs) and South Central Cancer Resource.

If you wish to enter a quilt in the show, it must be dropped off at the Quilters’ Den (11th and Stephen Streets, Morden) on April 30 or May 1 between 10am to 5pm, with a registration form.  2019 Barnswallow Show Entry Registration   Please submit this computer-generated registration form.  This is a fillable PDF file.  Please fill it in before printing it.

All entries must be picked up at 5:30pm at the Access Event Centre on Sunday, May 5.
