The Barnswallow Quilt Show is just around the corner ..May 6, 7, and 8….
and work has begun … to make this year’s show one of the best!!
To members….
be sure to contact Jean or Jeanie to let them know
- If you will be at …Thursday 9:00 setup and where you would like to work (bring table clothes and any old sewing items for display to help decorate the hall)
- what hours you are willing to work at registration…Mon, Tue, Wed
- What shifts and where you would like to work during the show
- After show dinner will be at the Rec. Centre this year…which will be a nice change…no rushing after…please contact Jean or Jeanie to be sure your name is on the list…$20 a person…to be paid on Thursday..setup day.
- If you have items for the sale table you will need to fill out forms…contact Diane

Have a quilt to register????.
If you have a quilt to register for the show…you can get forms at Quilter‘s Den…or on their website. By having your forms filled out prior to dropping them off at Quilter’s Den the week before makes the task easier for all. Thanks

The theme this year is…Traditional Quilts
Entry fee…$4 … children under 12 free
- a display of old sewing items
- Auction table this year will include an old singer sewing machine/antique/ish...with rounded wooden cover (tickets will be available at the show)
- Auction table will also include two quilts among other items donated (proceeds to Boundary Trails Health Centre-Woman’s Health)
- Feature quilter….Marilyn Wiebe
- Sale table
- Miniature Quilt Challenge display
- Challenges for 2012 will be on sale and last’s years challenge will be on display
- and much more!!!
If you are from out of town be sure to come uptown to check out …The Quilters‘ Den (west end of Stephen St..Big Barn)…our show’s biggest supporter….and Morden’s town centre…to check out the many interesting places to grab a bit to eat and shop. As you stroll along our main street….you will also see some quilts displayed in stores and windows.
